One of my favorite graffiti shots. New Orleans has some very talented artists.
I’m usually listening to my iPod when I’m walking around Chicago. I’m always looking for the little glowing person telling me its okay and the cars I can’t hear are at a standstill.
I took this photograph last summer in New Orleans. I was ready to leave the city but sometimes I really miss that place - some of the most amazing people I’ve ever met.
I took this photograph with some friends in Grant Park last weekend. The city of chicago decided to display the ice sculpture finalists. There were so many talented artists, i added more pictures on my flickr account. Enjoy.
This is another photograph taken with Neopan 1600 film. Low-light black and white shots are my favorite type of photography. I wasn’t planning on the Taxi being in the shot but it actually adds a cool blur element to the photo. I think I might start using film cameras again, who knows.
I was deleting some pictures on my desktop today and I came across this photo. I really like the sun and the lens flare - really brings out the yellows. This photo reminds me of the short, but beautiful fall we had in Chicago this year.
I’m beginning to realize that I will not have the time or money to make it to New Orleans for Mardi Gras this year… Instead, I’ll be studying in a library and avoiding the single-digit temperatures outside. I took this photograph two years ago in the middle of the French Quarter. New Orleans is a very interesting place and I’m happy I had the opportunity to live there for four years.. Okay, three and a half.. Thanks, Katrina. Anyway, I think this photo completely describes the chaos of Mardi Gras.
I took this photograph at a Rangers game in May. Our seats were on the third base line which gave me a good angle for this shot. This photo really stood out to me because I was able to capture the communication between the third base coach and the runner on second. I’ve always wondered how they have in-depth communication through eye contact and minor hand gestures.
So I’m required to update my LinkedIn profile for school and decided to have my good friend Jimmy take a few pictures for me. While I was importing the pictures I noticed that he took several while I was not looking at the camera and I like how this last photo turned out. I’m not big on publishing photos with me in it but I considered this to be a “guest blog post” by Jimmy Watson (@jimmywatson). Enjoy.
I took this photograph on Michigan Ave. I wasn’t really trying to capture anything in particular and that’s kind of why I decided to post this photo. Something stood out to me but I can’t really describe it. If you can’t tell by now, I have a thing for black & white night shots - something about the lighting and the grain in the picture. Anyway, enjoy.
